31 Days: What’s a Scrapper’s Must-Do Layout?

by Lain Ehmann on July 2, 2012

Welcome to Day #2 of 31 Days of Q&As! Today’s question comes from Janet, who asks:

What is the ONE scrapbook page that every scrapper should complete?

See my answer in today’s video. Please feel free to link up YOUR answer, too! I’d love to see!

Yay! You turned your video into a page! That’s one of my most favorite inspirational videos ever. In case you didn’t know. :)

Lain,  I have been scrapping for “almost” a year.  I didn’t want to buy any type of cutting machine until I knew I was going to stay with it.  Of course, I have become completely addicted.  I have heard of many types of machines and computer-generated cutting machines.  Can you review them and/or give your opinion of the best machine to purchase considering cost of machine, precision of cutting, variety of designs, ability to create your own designs, etc.?  I found you on YouTube and enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing and making it easier.

Here’s a stumper. Is there a way to include hand written journaling and ephemera into photo books? I want to do photo books for size and efficiency,  but can’t stand to give up the intimacy of handwriting and I love life’s bits and pieces. Any ideas?

You had me thinking – as always! I knew I’d done one of these layouts for a previous challenge (one of yours maybe?) but I couldn’t find a picture of it. After a lot of digging, I found it and uploaded it to Flickr. check it out here
I don’t have any burning questions for you today just gratitude for your answers! “see” you tomorrow!!

What about using a scanner to add them to a page? Or maybe just printing individual pages, and putting them in a traditional book so you can add your handwriting and ephemera. There’s also a way to turn your handwriting into a font, but I don’t know which  companies are reputable off the top of my head.

Thanks for the inspiration on Why I Scrapbook. They are the very same reasons but I never thought to put them in words.
