A Scrapbooker’s Journal

by Lain Ehmann on December 7, 2010

I’m not only getting ready for Christmas around here, I’m getting ready for 2011! And part of that process is selecting THE PERFECT CALENDAR for the new year.

It can’t be too big.

It can’t be too small.

It has to have room for notes.

It has to have room for basketball, wrestling, soccer, and swim lesson schedules.

It has to make me smile.

It has to fit in my purse.

Not an easy task! But I did find a few, and of course I will share with you!

The first is from Log Your Memory, and you’ve heard me talk about before: Memory Logbook Review. After turning the local stationery store inside out, looking for Just the Right Planner, I decided this might be pretty darned perfect. So I went about making it my own:

I covered the cover (haha!) with some bright patterned paper, added the date, and “laminated” the whole shebang with plastic packing tape. I will add tabs to separate sections later.

I have a feeling we’re going to become very good friends. :)

No sooner than I put the finishing touches on my cover, then I got an email from my darling friend Stephanie Ackerman, who had been working magic with her OWN 2011 Memory Logbook:

I am not proud! I will readily admit hers is much cuter than mine. :) And even better, she provides a step-by-step guide so you too can make your Logbook adorable! I am totally going to do that.

P.S. If you haven’t ordered your Logbook yet, there’s still time! (There’s always time!!). Get it here: Memory Logbook 2011: January to June Print Edition.
