Send to KindleHandmade cards are hot, hot, hot! Everywhere I go, from Pinterest to Facebook, I’m seeing amazing handmade cards! Wowzerz!
But where to start if you’re a simple scrapper who doesn’t spend an hour on a page, let alone a card you’re going to give away? Never fear! Read on for…
Card-making Resources for Simple Scrapbookers
Here’s a round-up of my fave places to find ideas and inspiration.
Kristina Werner. Card-making is Kristina’s middle name! Ha! Kristina’s blog includes tons of how-to videos, tips, and more. Over Christmas, she created a video of a card every day for 25 days. YEAH baby! OH, and she taught an amazing class via True Scrap II in October on card making for Scrapbookers. Cool, huh? Check it out here if you want to learn all Kristina’s card tips.
And you can listen to an interview with her here: Kristina Werner: Card-Making and More!
Pinterest. There are tons of easy card ideas on Pinterest. I’ve linked you there to my card ideas board, but all you have to do is troll around a bit, and you’ll soon have more ideas than you could ever use! (Oh yeah, it’s free.)
Nichol Magouirk. Another fantabtastic scrapbooker/cardmaker! She shares her expertise on her blog, and while she is very technique-heavy, simple scrappers can pull out a focus technique or two to use on their own quick-and-easy blogs. P.S. Yup, another True Scrap II instructor! Her class was about stamping, but it’s so killer you may decide you need it. Get it here. I also did an interview with her here: Nichol Magouirk: Stamping Superstar.

31 Thank You Cards. This gorgeous e-book from Ella Publishing is bursting at its digital seams with card-making goodness from Kimber McGray, Heather Nichols, and Kristina Werner. It’s $7.99 but you can get it for 25% off with code HOLIDAY2011 if you order before 12/31/11.
A few tips from yours truly. As I’ve gotten more into making my own cards, I created a few posts and videos to share some of my quick and easy card-making tips. Here they are:
Well, I certainly hope that will give you some direction. If you have specific questions, let me know!
