lol….I just uploaded a 2-pager with 7 photos for Day 15! Off to check out those links!

With 10 photos on my day 15 LOAD, I am definitely a multi-photo kinda gal. I love single photo for impact. I love multi photo to show the story.

I do a good mix of both, I think. It helps that I’m a mostly digital scrapper because I can easily and quickly manipulate the sizes of my photos. There are tons of awesome templates at Oscraps for muti-photo layouts….so I raid the stores of Paislee Press, Taylormade, and a few others when I’m short on time and mojo. LOL

I do a little of both. I think I may do single and multi photo today!

  • Quinna

I would recomend adding Cathy Zielske to the list.

I usually have at least 3 to 4 photos on a page. Once in a rare while I will have a one photo layout, but not often. This will be an easy challenge today. thanks.

I was saving some photos for an album, but maybe I’ll have to try and do a two page lo with this one if I get the time today!

I put together a good mix of single photo layouts and multi photos but I have noticed that during LOAD I’ve been doing a lot of single photo and single page layouts so this will be fun.

  • tonysfrenchgirl

I have made more 1 page layouts while doing LOAD than I have in the past. Usually I’m using multi-photos as I am working on vacation albums (my one chronological scrapbooking project). There is one special multi-photo LO that I would love to do today, but my white alphabet stickers haven’t arrived yet. :-(

Never heard of Kah-Mei but I LOVE her pages and her style! Thanks so much for introducing her to us.

  • Lynnette

Yep… I’m definitely a multi-photo scrapper. I have a couple of double layouts in albums that have 16-17 photos on them! I’d have run out of storage space for albums a long time ago if I only scrapped one photo per page!! There are however some layouts I’ve done that just have one really special photo on them, usually an enlargement.

  • Margy Eastman

I’m with Lynette – I like doing single-photo pages with “special shots” that have a specific story behind them, but I do multiple-photo pages for most events. There’s only so much room in my house! I’m always looking for new ideas for placement, so I’m looking forward to everyone’s submissions! Thanks, Laine!

  • Katieplus4

i do tons of 1 photo layouts…i like to scrapbook and i can do more pages if i only use 1 photo-i have tons of books- someday we may all have to sleep in the garage so the albums will all fit in the house- but i don’t care :)

I used to have a hard time with a single page LO let alone a single photo I have over come both hurdles although I do still tend towards 2 page LOs with multiple photos.

  • lynne moore

I think I use single photo layouts mostly when I really need a special page or (like the Hair like a Lion page) when i want to do some reqally special treatments. But mostly I love pictures to tell the story and need lots of pictures. Got 2 great ideas for a series of wallet pix I want to try.

  • Julie Luna

I perfer multi, but I have done a few one photo pages. Since I only do 12×12 pages, I feel like I’m wasting space by only using one photo.

  • alimo

I am without a doubt a multi-photo scrapper. The pressure of perfectly designing a single-photo layout would kill me! That’s why I particularly love Yin’s digital templates – she’s the ultimate multi-photo scrapbooker! http://simplyyin.blogspot.com/

  • TracyBzz

Both! If I have lots of pics and love them all then I’ll slap down 2-7. If I have a really long story then 1 photo with lots of words is great too.

  • http://twitter.com/IAmMikki Mikki

A majority of my layouts have multiple photos on them. I am a 12×12 scrapbooker, so using 1 picture on a layout often seems like I have a lot of space left over and since I am also not one to use a ton of embellishments on a page, it seems… empty. I often use 2-4 pictures per layout.

I’ve found I like 8.5×11 because I am doing more single-photo layouts. now that I think about it, I tend to do that with “memory” or personality pages, while the 12×12 (and multi-photos) are more event-based. Thanks for making me think of this!

  • Lsalthouse

I prefer more than one photo on a layout. My single photo pages are generally reserved for special photos and heritage pics.

  • Anonymous

I find that I do more one-photo layouts for heritage photos, too. :)

  • Rhonda H

I agree. For a long time I WOULDN’T do single photo LO’s in my 12×12 albums (except for a couple of 8×10 portraits) because I thought it was wasteful. The albums I was using at the time and the refills were expensive! So I thought I had to cram as many photos as I could (whether I needed to or not) on each page. After taking Stacy Julian’s Library of Memories, I just left so many scrapbooking “rules” behind. Finally. PHOTO FREEDOM!

I now do BOTH kinds of pages, single photo and multi-photo, and a variety of page sizes, as well as mini albums and theme albums. I have the freedom to create whatever fits the bill or my creative mood at the time!

Also, another one of my favorite multi-photo girls is Allison Davis of the Sketch Support bl0g. Awesome. She was a CK hall of famer. That girl ROCKS a two-pager.

I am really learning about my style with this class. Thanks for offering it.

I am so glad you’re learning more about your style! On the topic of size of layout and number of photos and how that links to topics, check this out: http://www.layoutaday.com/does-size-matter-scrapbook-page-sizes-and-topics/
