I have recently started using some sketches. They are a fun start off point for a page. Thanks.

I love a good sketch! I probably use a sketch (at least to get started) in about 25% of my layouts. Although yesterday I was all excited to use a sketch, and then I drove myself crazy trying to follow it for about 45 minutes. I finally abandoned it. The layout came together when I just did it my way. I’ll try again today. :)

Lol…I live by PageMaps and sketches so this one will seem normal for me. I don’t like to stress scrap and these things eliminate a lot of that. :)

You know, it’s funny. While I can use a digital template with no problem or hesitation…just drop & drag my papers and photos…I struggle with using a sketch. What does that say about me? ;)

p.s. I do, however, sometimes have a hard time finding just the right digi template.

I use sketches for about 90% of the layouts I create. I don’t necessary scraplift everything, but having a sketch as a starting point always helps me.

Woohoo!! I’m a big time sketch user especially Becky Higgins so this will be fine. I will add the extra challenge for myself and try to use a sketch I haven’t used before as I have several go to sketches LOL!

I love schetches. I love to look at them. But rarely follow them or actually use them in any way. I seem to collect them the way I collect stamps.

LOVE me some sketches ;) I have most of page maps printed off and sorted by number of photos as well as her book (which I was lucky enough to have signed)

Usually when I have an idea for a page I see the layout backbone in my head. I then usually sketch it out for myself on a 3×5 card and make notes of what type of item I want to go where, journaling, title, colors etc. I then keep the card and write down manufacturer information on the back as I work just in case I ever think of trying to submit to magazines (not that I ever have!)

Great idea, i always love sketches and think i am going to follow one, but hardly ever end up using one because they rarely seem to fit my needs.
