As i started to read your challenge post today i got to the first line and said this is easy, of course i scrapbook for future generations to enjoy, that is why i scrapbook. By the time i got to the bottom of your list i thought “all of the above” reasons. LOL

Wonderful prizes for some lucky person.

Awesome food for thought….I’m an all of the above. :) one thing I sometimes struggle with is finding balance when it comes to life and scrapping. I feel like when I spend too long scrappingmango a memory I’m wasting time that could be spent with family making more memories. Does that make sense? I think that’s why my style has changed a lot (and much thanks to you) because somewhere along the line I gave up needing to have the perfectly shadowed layers and just the right mix of a gazillion elements….and started focusing on great photos and a little bit of pretty scrapping to show them off. That sentence was waaaayyy too long but I haven’t had coffee yet so don’t judge me….LOL!

Apparently scrappingmango is a word according to my Droid. Ugh coffeeeee now.

I have always said I don’t scrapbook for the kids. Let them fight over the pages after I am gone…I do it for me. it’s my outlet, it’s my art, it’s my photo diary. That the family can share and enjoy in it is a by-product. I like my hobbies and stuff around me to have a practical purpose. Scrapbooking fits in with that. That’s my excuse.

I love Jodie`s answere! Scrappingmango? Okay.

I am scrapping for all the right reasons. But…some time ago I had to think about the fact that no one will ever look through all those pages:)
This is so funny because every day my extended family go online to see what I made that day and when I arrive with a new album – they fight to get first in line.

But who would want to store all those albums? So I try to make a decision for them. The pages that tell a story I think is important I put in one album and the pages I make for me or for pure fun I put in my albums. After I am gone they can do what ever they want with the albums.

My pleasure comes from the fact that everone enjoy the pages here and now. Today`s page is always enjoyed. What more can an obsessed scrapbooker want?

I am going to work “scrappingmango” into a conversation today. Maybe that should be our LOAD way of saying “a real peach?” You know, when you see your kids or your dog doing something adorable, that you know is going to end up on a page, you think to yourself “oooh…. now that’s a scrappingmango!”

Anyway, I LOVE me some stamps. Off to check out {ippity} now.

Lastly, “all of the above” is true for me, too, though I bet I can meditate it down to one or two main reasons. Time to think!

I did a layout during the last LOAD about why I scrapbook, so this may be the only prompt this month that I don’t follow since that page is already done. I will just scrap more photos of my four-month old.

Hubby says I scrap to justify the spending but I beg to differ. There has to be a reason to spend. It’s for all the reasons mentioned above and more. My son got me into this because he wanted his-story. It’s the best of all worlds. I get to play. Those that are interested in the stories, etc. get the memories. Win Win!

I’m going to do this page “why” tomorrow, need a quick page busy most of the day.
Why – creative play time, fun, record memories and stories, put the pictures I love to take to good use. I want my girls to save their favourite pages, but certainly not feel obligated to save everything.
