I have actually never taken part in the December Daily project — last year, we moved the week before Christmas (don’t ask!). The year before, things were crazy as we were getting READY to move cross-country (yeah, we move a lot!). But this year, I’m determined to take part.
I created a 9×9″ album from Christmas scrapbook supplies, chipboard, and binder rings. I added a few page protectors cut to half-size, a couple of envelopes, and a few pocket pages I created with my sewing machine (!!).
I am not pre-labeling the days; I am not sure which days I’ll feel like adding photos or memorabilia, and I want to keep it flexible. This way I can move things around however I like. (I may not even create a page every day – don’t tell anyone!). I want this to be personal, stress-free, and fun.
Some things I’ll be including:
- wrapping paper
- print-outs of emails received and sent
- pictures my kids draw me
- my letter to Santa (you DO write one, don’t you?)
If you’d like to join in, I’ll be posting a daily prompt on my Layout a Day Facebook page. Just check it out to see what I’m writing about or taking photos of. Don’t feel any pressure to keep up or do anything other than what you’re already doing. I think you’re perfect.
P.S. Even if you’re not going to do the December Daily project, pop over and “like” the Layout A Day Facebook fan page! It’ll be fun – I promise.
