Favorite Scrapbook Layout

As I’m dealing with family stuff, getting ready for True Scrap, and planning Layout a Day (LOAD) 512, I thought I’d share some of my favorite simple scrapbooking layouts. This one shares some of my favorite principles:

-Documenting conversations. Using people’s own words makes such an impact!

-Using a single large photo. For personality pages, I often use just one photo.

-Simple embellishments. When your focus is on the story, you don’t need a lot of doodads on your page!

    just signed up for LOAD…cannot wait.  oh and my simple scrapbook tips…handwritten journaling, print photos at home, and story then photos then embellishments works best for me.  Can’t wait until LOAD begins!

    Such a great conversation! Wish I had scrapbooked when my kids were that age. LOAD212 and looking back at older photos (I DO have a lot of those!) has helped me remember a lot of things I hadn’t thought of in a long time though. Looking forward to True Scrap 3 and LOAD512!

    ** Clear, plain font for journaling
    ** Short title and subtitle
    ** Rule of threes for embellies** Visual triangle** RECYCLE and use up scraps!** Try using a strip of smthg: ribbon, pp (could even be a scalloped strip!) Love your LO, Lain! SO CUTE!!
