Free-For-All Friday: My Faves

by Lain Ehmann on July 1, 2011

I’ve decided to make Friday a free-for-all. Who knows what you might find: Links to my fave non-scrappy products, a glimpse into my “outer” world, a card idea, stamping… you’ll just have to tune in to find out!

Today, I thought I’d introduce you to five products I’m loving right now. These are things I feel like I just couldn’t do without!

#1: My new workout partner: Bob! I picked him up at a garage sale for $40. It brings me back to the days when I took kick boxing (before baby #3). I loved it! What a terrific way to get my aggressions out!

So when I saw Bob in front of the neighbor’s house, I knew he had to be mine…all mine.

He now lives in my basement workout area where I regularly don my boxing gloves and go down and whale on him.

That feels better.

#2: My Kindle! I got this for Mother’s Day and it is simply FAB-YOU-LOSO. It is so convenient and fun and easy and just convenient. And did you know you can get one of your very own for only $114??? Wowzers.

My favorite thing to read on here are mysteries. I am so addicted to mysteries, and when I start a new series, I have to read EVERYTHING in the series. That can be tough because they’re not always available in the library or even the bookstore. But on Kindle you don’t have to wait — you can grab ‘em right then and there. Haha!

#3: Summer Card Camp. It started this past Monday, and I’m already in love! Brought to you by Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner, it’s just so much fun! I can’t wait to show you what I’ve put together.

#4. This shirt. I got it for Kinsey who is such an amazing soccer player (I know, I’m bragging — she got an athletic scholarship to attend a private school next year!!).LINESPACE

#5. Of course, we need a scrapping item: my Big Kick! (The picture is actually of a Big Shot — didn’t have a Big Kick. I think they are basically the same thing). Anyhow, I love it! And I’m having a blast with it. You’ve probably seen tons of the results of my little ole’ die cut machine. It’s pretty fab. :)

What are YOU loving these days??

Love it! (the boxing dude and the t-shirt are totally FAB!)

The Kindle – don’t know how I managed without one before…… We live overseas so every trip is a doozy, before I had to travel with stacks of books. Now I just load six on the Kindle and away we go. I LOVE it.

  • Mikki

I absolutely agree! I put the Kindle app on my iTouch and I am actually able to read again! Working full time and being a mom takes up a lot of time and I found that I never had time to read, but the Kindle app has allowed me to have a book with me wherever I go, it’s been amazing!

I love my BOB! He is currently residing at our rec center and we are supposed to use him for Martial Arts Class. He still doesn’t get used very often. I want to bring him home – he used to be in view of my kitchen and I would dress him up in t-shirts and hats. (No naked men in the kitchen, please) He has 2 or 3 Halloween costumes, too. Giant Ken Doll with no feet.

Five fabulous things I just love these days…1) online grocery shopping with delivery – they put the bags right in my kitchen.  I find I am a more careful shopper, so I don’t mind paying the fee.  Plus, who wants to spend summer days in the grocery store?    2)  My Yankee Candle car freshener…it’s something like island breeze and it smells so beachy!  3)  My Keurig.  I was never a coffee drinker, but I love/need it now.  It’s instant gratification in a cup!  4)  My Canon EOS Rebel XS DSLR camera.   It’s the basic entry level model and I’m still only using it in auto mode, but the thing takes MUCH better pics than my point and shoot.  I never miss a moment because it is so quick.  Can’t wait to learn more…thinking about Elisha Snow’s class over at BPC.  5)  Maybe I’ve been under a rock, but I didn’t know Stacy Julian had her own line of supplies.  I just bought the Core Impressions Happy Colors Collection at AC Moore.  Since I don’t have a tool to emboss, this is great paper when you feel you need a little something like texture or tone on tone.  And it’s sandable too!  Can’t wait to use it!  So, those are my favorites these days.
BTW, love that t-shirt and congrats to your daughter.  What an accomplishment!
