This post is for nothing other than my own self-interest. I need a little fun today!

Do you ever toy with other job ideas? Like, “If only I had taken XYZ course in college?

I have considered running away to join the circus (but I am so non-musical, non-bendable, and clown-phobic that it wouldn’t be a good fit).

My other version of “running away to join the circus” is “running away to join CSI.” I think I’d be a really good QD (Questioned Documents) examiner. Plus I’d get to hang out with Nicky Stokes! (Although I don’t think he dresses like this <– at work).

Anyway, I found this infographic on wages for forensics specialists and I am sharing here just to sublimate my own urges to run away this week (of course, being ever-practical, my first question is, “How much do CSIs make?”).

    I think I have my run-away job right now—although it would never keep a roof over my head!  LOL! 
    After teaching music to elementary children for 33 years, I was able to retire.  Shortly after my retirement, my dh and I moved from AK to MN.
    I am now working (yes!)  31 hours a MONTH as an evening/weekend receptionist at a retirement home.  I LOVE it!!
    I truly needed the job–to get out of the house, earn some scrappin’  money, and pay taxes!   Yes, pay taxes.  In AK we didn’t have state/sales taxes!  What an adjustment to come to MN and pay some of the highest taxes in the nation!!  :-
    I am not an “outdoor” gal, so sitting at a desk for a few hours, answering a phone, directing visitors, and visiting with the residents (one of which is my mom) is perfect for me!
