How to Become a Better Storyteller

by Lain Ehmann on November 19, 2012

A crucial part of our memory-keeping is the stories on our pages. We want to capture memories in our scrapbooks that tell rich, vivid tales, that truly come alive. And when we see others do this through their journaling, words, and layouts, we say, “Why can’t I do that?”

Well, you can! But often those precious stories get overshadowed by our concern about the products, the design, the photos… or our worries about our grammar, spelling, handwriting… the list of excuses goes on and on. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

It’s Not About the Products.

The time for excuses is over! I’ve created a five-day video class that will help you capture the stories that matter most on your scrapbooking layouts. Whether you’re a professional writer or you struggle to get a grocery list together, this class will help you bring your pages to life.

After noodling around on the idea of storytelling, and hearing complaint after complaint on the topic of creating meaningful scrapbook pages, I came up with a simple solution. It’s called, “Your Stories, Your LIfe: A Five-Day Class to Help You Capture the Memories That Matter Most.” It consists of five of my biggest tips on telling your stories more effectively.

You might be wondering how much you could possibly improve your scrapbook storytelling in a few days, but don’t let the length of the class fool you! One of my specialties is distilling complex concepts and ideas into simple, actionable items. And that’s what I’ve done with this class. I’ve taken 15 years as a professional writer (I’ve written THOUSANDS of articles, HUNDREDS of blog posts, and several books) and over 10 years as a professional scrapbooker, and pulled out the best lessons from my experiences.

I know it’s a busy time of year, but this class is a PERFECT complement for December Daily, Journal Your Christmas, or Project Life. I’ll be teaching you concepts that you can use throughout the year on EVERY page you create! (And of course, you’ll have forever access to the class materials, so you can watch later if it’s too crazy during December.)

I hope you’ll join me as we take your storytelling to a whole new level!
