Hey there, and happy new year! I hope you remembered to “Rabbit, rabbit” it this morning (I did!)
I’ve been thinking a lot about resolutions and intentions. I’ve chosen my one little word for 2012 (which I revealed in last week’s scrapbooking podcast), and I’ve started writing down some of my scrapbooking goals for the year. Oh, and I have some personal goals, too! One of the big things I want to do is spend more time connecting with my older kids. I do a great job of spending time with them, but not so much CONNECTING.
To that end, I’ve come up with a new scrapbooking series I want to add to my albums. I’m calling it the “A-List,” and it’s a series of pages based on listed conversations with my 11-year-old, Kinsey. Since she’s been tiny, we’ve had a shared journal that we write to each other in, but I thought it would be fun to create some scrapbook pages that reflect information we share with each other. The first one is “Favorites.” Here it is!
Here’s the process: I created quizzes and made journaling cards based on a Katie Pertiet bracket ribbon design, and printed them on white cardstock, Then I had Kinsey fill out hers, I filled out mine, and we had fun sharing our answers!
And because I love you guys so much, I’ve saved these journaling cards as PDFs for you to download. All you have to do is make sure you’re signed up to my email list, and I’ll send out the downloads tomorrow (Monday). Note: even if you are reading this later, sign up because I’ll still provide you a link where you can download these cards.
Here’s a close-up:
I’ve got a series of 12 of these layouts planned, all with hybrid journaling cards, all of which I’ll be providing to you — so go sign up now if you haven’t already!
