We’re here because I am speaking on a panel at BlogWorld Expo. My topic: Building community through podcasting. Ahh, community building – one of my favorite topics!
I’m also enjoying hooking up with some of my idols, like Pat Flynn:
Pat’s a rockstar in the internet marketing world, and teaches people how to run ETHICAL and PROFITABLE online businesses. You can check him out at SmartPassiveIncome.com (I have a blog post up over there on how I use webinars in my business… leave me a comment!). Even though he went to Cal, he’s still cool. 
I also got to hear Michael Hyatt (another great sideways photo!) speak this morning on the topic of building a platform. Michael is the Chairman and former CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing, and is, in my mind, a beacon of integrity and morals in a world that is quickly sinking. It takes people like Michael and Pat to fight the darkness, and I applaud their efforts. (Michael’s book, Platform, is a must-read for anyone looking to make themselves heard in our crazy-busy world).
We head home tonight, and I’m missing my girls (and my husband!). I’ll be podcasting first thing tomorrow… so stay tuned!
