Today I’m introducing you to another one of our fab Spawn of True Scrap instructors. We are so lucky to have the ability to bring together instructors — and students — from all over the world. Whether you live in Thailand or Timbuktu (though I don’t know how the internet reception is there!), you are so welcome to join us! But before you sign up…
Meet Nic Howard!
What is the last scrapbooking product you purchased? Baker’s Twine and seam binding. Gorgeous vintage ribbon!
Why did you choose Ready, Set, Distress as the class subject for Spawn of True Scrap? If there is one question I’m asked most in scrapbooking, it would be “How do you do that?!”,as people look at the the vintage distressed pages I typically create. What better way to show a whole lot of techniques I love in one class, besides, who doesn’t love crackle paint and distress inks?!
What’s one layout you have not created that is on your “to scrap” list? ‘The evolution of a nick-name’ – my son has had several nick-names as he has grown through the years, I thought each one would stick forever. They seem to evolve as he grows up and people seem to forget the older ones. I must document them all!
Do you have a can’t-miss TV show? What is it? I love Gold Rush Alaska, is that bad?! I don’t watch a lot of TV, but will turn on reality shows such as Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush Alaska when I want something easy to watch while I’m packing kits!
If you got to choose your own scrapbooking/stamping super power, it would be…? Extension of time, or perhaps the ability to click my fingers and everything would be stuck down on my page where I have carefully placed it. I hate that moment while sticking a layout down, where I think “Eeeeek! Where did I have that? It looked good at the time!” as I’m carefully sticking everything down!
Ahh, Nic…. I would, as the saying goes, listen to this woman read the phone book! But you don’t have to listen to a litany of Smiths and Joneses. Instead, you can enjoy her amazing instructional abilities at Spawn of True Scrap in October when she shares her secrets on distress techniques. Be there!
