Loved your thoughts about the value of creating a layout a day. I’ve been doing my own little challenge of creating a page a day. I’ll wait until I return to the U.S. to join the official LOAD. Anyhow, I’ve found that what you’ve said about creating a layout a day is so true. I do tend to scrap faster. I always find that I’m much more creative with my pages because the prime has been pumped, so to speak. It makes sense that practicing improves everything over all. I’m a pianist and piano teacher. There is no way my students would master the piano if they didn’t practice daily. And even though I’ve played for 30 years, if I don’t practice at least a few times a week, my fingers become clumsy and can’t get through songs very well. Working on anything consistently and frequently will usually lead to improved performance and skill.

It’s almost like our internal critic shuts down so we can create more easily. Love that you relate scrapbooking to piano!

You forgot one of the S’s — Scraplifting! All that great inspiration during the month and I mark many, many layouts as a Flickr favorite to use for inspiration on my own layouts.
