Scrapbook Layouts: The Story Matters Kit Club September Reveal

by Lain Ehmann on September 6, 2010

It’s the fifth! So let’s take a look at what I made with the adorable September kit from the Story Matters:

First, this is a common theme through my albums… just a round-up of cute photos! No big story, just a page showing my little kiddos, at whatever point they’re at right now. Please note the middle of the flowers — ribbon knots! Cute, eh?

I’ve been creating sideways 8.5 x 11 pages lately, just shaking it up a little bit. I’ve had this photo sitting around for a while, and I finally said, time to get it on a page! On this layout, I love how the patterned paper looks like waves.

Lovin’ the border I trimmed off a sheet of Sassafras Lass. Lots of layers here, too.

Finally, a sweet page. Thing to notice: When you place photos or patterned paper flush against each other, with no margin, it’s an easy way to make them look unified. The rounded corners at the top contribute to that joint look, too. (I also like the white journaling pen for a change — I used a Sharpie Paint Marker Extra-fine White.)
