Well, the reception to my news about the new ScrapHappy.org site has been fantastic! We’ve had dozens of signups, and even a few who have opted for the year-long membership. We’re off to a rip-roaring start as this week I posted this month’s page sketch and my take on it, announced this month’s scrapbooking contest, and added several members-only videos to our archive.
It’s not too late for you to get in on this month’s goodies! In fact, that was a question I received:
If I join mid-month, do I have access to everything from that month?
The answer is a resounding “YES!” We are operating on a calendar-month basis, so you can join any time that month to have full access to all that month’s info and posts — for life! At the end of the month, we set the password for the next month, and the whole process starts over again.
What if I want to join ScrapHappy but I don’t want to do Layout A Day (LOAD)? Is that okay?
That is completely fine! Just do what you want to. LOAD is free for all ScrapHappy members, but you don’t HAVE to participate. Think of it like the gym — the free weights are there if you want to use them, but you don’t have to, to still get a great workout.
On the opposite side, what if I want to join LOAD but I don’t want to join ScrapHappy?
That’s okay, too. Be forewarned, though; ScrapHappy members have priority enrollment for LOAD, so if we reach our cap, we will close enrollment to other participants (in the past, the cap has varied between 150-200 participants, and may change up or down from there, depending on how it’s organized).
What is your cancellation policy?
As per PayPal rules, you can cancel your membership any time before the next month’s billing takes place. Log into your PayPal account to see what your billing date is.
Wait — can’t someone just join ScrapHappy for a month for $9.95, do LOAD, and then cancel their ScrapHappy membership?
Why, yes, one COULD do this. But it wouldn’t be very nice, would it? And we reserve the right to hunt down these scofflaws and make them pay as only a scrapbooker with a paper piercer can. No, seriously — you’re on your honor here. But don’t be surprised if you try to pull a fast one and you find your name and Flickr ID plastered on truckstop bathroom walls from here to Kentucky.

P.S. Open enrollment for October’s Layout a Day is coming in September!
