Shutterfly Photobook Giveaway

by Lain Ehmann on November 30, 2012

It’s that time of year! Photobooks are in the air… and I cannot WAIT to create a few for gifts this year. Shutterfly has some amazing options, such as their new custom path books. I’m going to make a year in review album for my hubby (we do one every year and he loves it!), as well as one for my budding artist Callie’s schoolwork.

Check out this video… Shutterfly Photo Books: The Best Gift Ever! You can win one of two 8×8 photo books from Shutterfly. Watch this video, and then leave me a comment naming the scene in the video that reminds you of a memory from your own life.

Then tweet for a bonus entry, linking back to this post with the hashtag #SFLYphotobook.

You could say: “I just entered to win a @Shutterfly photobook – the best present ever! http://ow.ly/fJ5iK #SFLYphotobook”

Rules: Contest closes at midnight eastern on 12/15, and prizes must be claimed by 12/17. Two 8×8 hardcover, 20 page photobooks will be given away, courtesy of Shutterfly. Shipping to US/Canada included.

Let the games begin! :)

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Shutterfly, and I will receive a photobook in exchange for posting about it.

I am going home for Christmas for the first time since 2008 and the first thing my mom said was “how nice it will be to have someone taking pictures with me” This video made me feel so warm and full of love for being able to go home and make memories with my family this year!

  • Joanie Baloney

I have a scrapbook page of my son making Christmas cookies with my mom, so that was very in tune with my real life.

  • Jenny McGee

Every Christmas Eve, before the boys go to bed, I read the Dr. Suess’s The Sleep Book. I started this when they were little, to help them fall asleep on Christmas Eve. Now they are 16 and 11, and still love for me to read it.

I remember sifting flour to make cookies with my grandma. She has a vry similar flour sifter to the one in the clip.

Moving away from my grandparents when I was 8yr old from michigan to Alabama was hard, so seeing them moving day scene touched me. Now we live out of state from my in-laws (my kids grandparents) and its hard so I love this idea of giving a book to them for everyday life memories.

Wow! Sadly, I don’t have any of those memories of a child! Never moved, lost grandma young, never baked with my mom, but I do have the same friends I had in first grade!

Great promo video … I actually got a happy tingly feeling watching. At the beginning when the little boy runs to his grandma and hugs her when she’s gardening reminds me of how much I loved going to grandma’s as a child. I’m very fortunate to have a very close relationship with my grandma.

Cute video. I didn’t make cookies with my grandmother, but I did stop at her house on the way home from school to raid the cookie jar! Now my husband bakes cookies with our grandsons.

  • Ali M

I never met my grandmothers, but I have fond memories of baking with my mom. She used to bake up the leftover pie crust dough with cinnamon and sugar for my sister and I.

  • Megan P

I’d love to enter for the shutterfly book code!
The memory this video brought back is my mom taking “first day of school” pictures every year!!

  • Liz Lumsden

The scene with the little boy helping with the sifter brought back memories for me. I loved helping my mom by sifting the flour for her!

  • RitaQ

I’m doing it in reverse. I’m the one creating the photobooks for my grandchildren of my memories with them when they visit. Sadly, it’s only once or twice a year. I made an 8×8 ABC book after their first visit and the tradition has stuck. I use each letter to describe some activity or memory that happened during their visit. It’s super easy to do in Shutterfly. Needless to say, winning a photobook would be awesome.

  • Roseann

The pictures of the sugar cookies. I decorate them every year with my daughter and grandkids. It is one tradition that cannot be skipped.

  • Sally

Oh what fun it is to ride in a wonderful Christmastime blog/sleigh!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks Lain….You’re awesome….and a Shutterfly book would be a way to create even more wonder and love!!!!!

I have to say, the sifter brought back memories. Mom and I used to do a lot of baking and when I grew up I still owned a sifter and continued my baking traditions.

What an awesome prize. I love Shutterfly books–they’re my favorite! I sure would love to win! Thank you!

  • Alison

Thanks for the offer. I like the scene where grandma sits to read the book. I’ve made a few books and I love to watch the reaction when they are read for the first time.

  • Lisa Achilles

The scene where they are baking brings back memories for me. Love Shutterfly and would love a free book.

  • Laura Carrington Duckett

Baking with Grandma–that reminds me of times in my childhood when I made rice pudding or chocolate chip cookies with my grandmother.

  • http://www.facebook.com/richchipper Heather Rich

Love Shutterfly books – just ordered one for Christmas. Thanks for the offer. This little boy looks like my nephew!

I totally remember running into the arms of my Grandma and giving her a great, big hug. Now my kids do the same with my parents.

  • SherryB

Seeing the grandson run into grandma’s arms reminds me of my two grandboys – they love reading, making cookies and are giving me great memories with each visit! If they moved away, they would have to pack me up too! :-) Shutterfly books are priceless!

  • angela

Has to be the big hug at the start of the video. My daughter just attacks my parents with the biggest hugs and won’t let go when she gets to see them in person, which is only a few times a year. But she sees them everyday on skype!

  • LaShanda

I remember moving to a new house and making new friends at my new school.

  • LaShanda
  • Joanne Roberts

HaHa, definitely taking pictures of my kids and pets sleeping together. You’d think all they do is sleep, but it’s just the opposite!

  • tess

making cookies with my nanny- i miss her so much

  • Ct Pfotenhauer

I remember making cookies with my grandmother as a little girl.

  • Candy Levy

Lain the whole video reminds me of me and my Grandchildren. They are so cute and cuddly. Sadly we don’t live in the same state so I’m constantly trying to find ways to connect. Winning a photobook would be cool. I try to do a photo calendar with ours and their pics every year.

The video honestly didn’t remind me of any memories in my life… but it did remind me of all of the awesome photo books I’ve made on Shutterfly! I’d love to win so I can make more! Thanks for the opportunity!

The final scene of the video reminds me of a special day, my wedding, this past March. Before the ceremony began, my wife and I had a few minutes to exchange gifts. She presented me with a photo book of our journey so far–-such an amazing gift!
